A bit about me personally

I’m a nerd who’s constantly reading at least a few books at once, loves to watch reruns of The Office and Parks and Rec, and is the worst at small talk. In my free time I enjoy slow days hanging out with my family and traveling.

Therapy modalities I often use

You won’t often hear me saying, “let’s reframe that thought.” I prefer a more in-depth style of therapy, so I most frequently reach for tools such as EMDR, parts work, and somatics that allow for us to get to the root of things. I really value bringing a sense of authenticity and safety to the therapy space. A few of my current role models in the field include: Arielle Schwartz, Linda Thai, Deb Dana, and Melissa Benintendi. I’d love to talk with you to hear what tools work best for you! I do not use any form of AI in my practice.

I might be the therapist for you if you describe yourself using any of these phrases

  • “Anxious”/”Overthinker”

  • “People-pleaser”

  • “Needy”

  • “Dysregulated”

  • “Fucked up childhood”

  • “Complicated family”

What kinds of clients work best with my style

I find that I work best with clients struggling with the impacts of trauma, particularly childhood or attachment trauma. This can take the form of chronic shame, emotional numbness, dissociation, flashbacks/nightmares, or low self-esteem, just to name a few symptoms. Clients with depression, anxiety, and OCD also connect with my style.

What a typical session with me is like

There’s no rush here. I usually start by inviting clients to notice what they’re bringing to that session, including emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations. Then we’ll decide what needs our focus and slowly deepen our attention to fully hold space for and understand whatever difficulties are currently arising. Clients often say that even after working with me for a short time, they have a much deeper understanding of their emotions and past experiences compared to years of previous therapy.
