PTSD, Trauma, & Chronic Shame
Trauma can happen as a result of an overwhelmed nervous system - too much, too fast, too soon. But trauma can also happen when there isn’t enough of something that was needed - support, care, acceptance, protection.
Maybe you’ve been talking about your experiences for so long that it just feels like a script, a movie that happened to someone else. But you still feel the effects of it all the time - struggling to trust, to regulate, to breathe. Maybe you’re only beginning to realize that your experiences were a lot harder to manage than you thought. Maybe you have this underlying feeling all the time that something is wrong with you and that you don’t actually deserve love.
You are not broken. Your wounds don’t have to feel impossible to heal. With over 14 years of experience in the field, I’ve learned how to hold space these feelings in order to help you fully understand and heal them.
